An established pub of over 40 years, it is situated down a little cobbled alleyway off the historic street of Sadlergate.
Don’t be fooled by its Olde Worlde pub exterior, Vines houses 3 bars, indoor and outdoor pool (tables!) and our very own secret garden; the biggest beer garden in Derby City Centre. Not only that, it’s a perfect suntrap and you can soak up the rays all day!
We have something for everyone: whether it’s a cheeky pint after work, sharing a bottle of fizz with the girls or settling in for a night of drinking and dancing. Definitely the home of house music in Derby, when the sun goes down and the volume goes up, Vines gets a real club vibe.
Notorious for our
happily affordable prices
all day every day,
We don’t need to have
a happy hour!
We’re enthusiastic about our music and have our established resident DJ’s Simon Toogood, Paul Shardlow & Jacko playing the best in club classics and house on the wheels of steel every Friday & Saturday night.
Glad to see vinyl making a comeback but at Vines it never really went away! We’ve hosted many bands and DJ’s over the years but most recently we were privileged to be involved in 2Q festival and become the home of DENG.
We welcome new DJ’s and artists and love showcasing emerging talent from both across the country and locally too.
This year we welcomed DENG. An amazing success, it was the result of a brilliant collaboration of talented people from Derby & Nottingham. Graffiti artists, DJ’s, bands, BBQ, art installations, craft stalls and obligatory face painting were all going on throughout the day.
Starting with a chilled reggae vibe during the day and then seamlessly blending into jungle, dubstep and drum & bass over three rooms, it was a proper old skool party.
Pop your head in the door and see one of Derby’s hidden away treasures.
Can’t wait for more in 2018!
